One down, a couple thousand to go

I do not have a precise idea what this Japanese report really says but mega-funky Google Translate reads:

[INDENT](Google Translate) Yahoo! Japan --April 24 (Sunday)
TEPCO president to resign in June to apologize to the evacuees ... even the president remain in office
Tokyo Electric Power Co. President Masataka Shimizu met Friday with Fukushima Gov. Yuhei Sato at the prefectural office to apologize in person to make clear the responsibility of leaks from the nuclear accident at the Fukushima nuclear plant. President Shimizu is to resign after shareholder meeting to be held in late June. Shimizu apologized [and] resigned as president to put things straight during a break to visit the residents who fled to shelters and Fukushima Gov. Sato...

This may seem like important news to us westerners, but in Japan it's standard for Corps to hold long-winded apologizing/crying circuses before the media every time they're caught misbehavin'. Trust me, it loses its appeal after the first 50 or so times.

It seems to me everyone's just going through the motions while (corrupt and negligent) business goes on as usual.

no need to be there for too long to see the pattern...

i'll start the list
mitsubishi fuso trucks (losing axles, cover up lasted years before recall)
that commuter train who rammed a building

Trouble is, the excuses always read like "sorry next time we'll try better not to get caught"
Marion Marechal nous voila !
