Police in Shizuoka, investigating the premises of a used car dealer one morning, came across a Tanzanian national working there. Checking his identification, they discovered that the man's name was on a wanted list and arrested him. During the course of the day, following the man's protestations, police established through his fingerprints that he wasn't the person they wanted, despite having a similar appearance. The Tanzanian said he had found the ID and was using it. Since he had overstayed his own visa, police handed him over to immigration authorities who arrested him again.
