Human rights like Fatty butter

Postby canman » Wed Feb 28, 2007 9:36 am

"Education minister slammed for comparing human rights to fatty butter"

Can these cabinet minsters be any more stupid? Heaven no we can't have human rights in Japan. We are different, we are homogeneous we don't need any of your stupid human rights.
Maybe we can add this to the why we love Japan thread. The enjoyment we get out of the world's silliest politicians.

I wonder what specific human rights violations he thinks Japan is better off ignoring.

Only ones involving FGs, so it should't be any unexpected changes.
You certainly wouldn't want them upseting the "wa" of Waga Kuni, would you?

Mr Kobayashi: First, I experienced a sort of overpowering feeling whenever I was in the room with foreigners, not to mention a powerful body odor coming from them. I don't know whether it was a sweat from the heat or a cold sweat, but I remember I was sweating whenever they were around.

ah yes the myth of homogeneous Japanese, no DNA testing will not prove that the Japanese race is nothing more than a mixed basket of Chinese, Okinawan, Ainu, Korean, Mongol and Fillipino
The Japanese race was born when Hirohito's unique Ethnic ancestors magically came down from the sky on a golden cloud on the mountains over Tibet, these ancestor of the divine J-Emperor then built a wooden raft - sailed to Nippon and continued to inbreed and procreate until the Japanese population reach a few million

much like how Adama and Eve's ancestor kept breeding to create the Western man we see today.

"We Japanese" can't be held to the same standard as the rest of the world....the hive mind will not allow it.

I can't be bothered translating too much but the gist of it is that people are worried (god forbid) that foreigners will be allowed to sit on this commission ...and then...

Japanese won't be able to be Japanese anymore! :melt: :violin:
In other words being a Japanese means being able to do and say any racist shit you feel like?

It's not quite so bad...Making the "unable to be typically Japanese" comment is one guy (Sosuke Takaoka, one of the "actors" from Battle Royale making the complaint based on an article from the Sankei, which runs anti-foreigner tirades almost daily, mainly targeted at Zainichi, but throwing all the rest of us in there for good measure).

He spent a lot of time in the United States, too, so you'd think he'd know better.

Can't say that I disagree with him regarding foreigners on the human rights commission. I don't think a human righs protection law is such a good idea in ths cuntry...it's too easily abused by pen pushers determining exactly what are and aren't human rights.

That's true. It could be dangerous in the wrong hands. But considering how things are already I don't see how the bill would make things work. Protection for Nationalist rants? They already have that.
I'm going to look on the positive side and say it's a step in the right direction. Fingers crossed... :suspect:
