Who to blame? Byrom or JAWOC?

Postby cstaylor » Mon Jun 24, 2002 8:09 pm

Japanese to blame, says FIFA
Today, though, FIFA's ticketing chief, David Will, hit back, insisting that JAWOC had caused the problems by failing to meet their deadline on providing the detailed stadia data necessary for the tickets to be produced.

He said that because JAWOC delivered the information five months after their October deadline, FIFA feared that they might not be able to produce any tickets in time for the world's biggest sporting event.

Sounds like Byrom should have had a crew over in Japan beating down doors for the information... and they should have been sending off alarm bells in the press before the World Cup started. Live and learn I guess.

It's typical Japan. Slow-moving and unable to admit when it has made a mistake.
