Nobody, not even the Khanimal, could stop that kind of Brazilian onslaught. Brazil looked absolutely incredible.

Brazil won and it's hats off to them. I don't think this team is a coherent as past Brazil teams but they did the job. In particular one run by Rivaldo stands out. The final shot went wide of the goal but it was the way he shook off the defender that had me gasping. He was about 10 paces out from the goal with Kahn coming off his line towards him and one German defender breathing hard on his right shoulder. Without breaking stride he jigged his shoulders back and forth giving the distinct impression he was going to swerve left, the defender fell for it and broke hard left to intercept *problem* was Rivaldo kept going straight on leaving the defender floundering six feet off his left side and four feet back. F*** me that was good. It's those kind of moves that make it all the more enjoyable.

Germany had some nice moves and played them well. I liked the strategy of hitting some corners low and deep with Kloss acting as a decoy. But in the end they sorely missed the finishing touch of Ballack.

Kahn was, in my opinion very good indeed. The first goal was taken well and he almost recovered and got a hand to the rebound. Hey that's the breaks. They'll be back.

Oh well - that's it - Back to the nightly baseball roundup. Ho hum
