Having a truly romantic Japanese Valentine’s Day last Saturday, the Japanese lady shown below is enjoying an “Extreme Ironing” event on the frozen Lake Hibara at 17 degrees Fahrenheit (-7℃).

Part of the volcanic caldera of Mount Bandai, Lake Hibara is a popular ice-fishing spot in Fookushima Prefecture, so it has to be good. :twisted:

On a slight tangent: I'm pretty sure there have been people who have been urbexing in the exclusion zone, does anyone know where they put their pictures? I haven't been able to find any on the English J-urbex sites.

Weird people... From what I see in the bunker you'd think that ironing clothes is illegal... Mominlaw borrowed my iron 4 year ago to dry some paper she forgot under an open window on a rainy day (a common occurrence here)... Never seen it again since... Pretty sure it's lost forever...
