Police investigating a Japanese gun-shop owner, currently on trial in the United States, say the man illegally shipped and sold weapons to about 1,000 customers in Japan. ... Notices on the Internet described the weapons as ``semi-movable'' guns that cannot be fired. The weapons seized so far had been altered. In reality, however, police found that the modifications in all the confiscated weapons could be reversed. Many of the guns had a simple weld or a stick jammed into the barrel.
