Mainichi: Old man discovered dead 2 months after falling asleep at shopping center

OSAKA -- The decomposed body of an elderly man has been found among decorative plants at a busy Osaka shopping center after apparently dying there in his sleep, police said Friday.

Officers said investigations revealed that the man, 60 to 75 years old, had been dead for about two months.

... the store owners did however comment on the recent vigorous growth of the decorative plants, indicating that they may have benefitted from over-fertilization ...
