Steve, I had to cheat & peeked at IMDB ...

Biography for
Hiroyuki Sanada

As to who's movie it is, it's all relative, I guess - maybe he's taller than Tommy ...

He can't be all that bad if he got an MBE from da Engleesh Queenie. Then again, I hear it's fashionable to refuse them these days.

Splitting hairs

Postby Andocrates » Sat Jan 10, 2004 2:02 am

Firstly, so far as semantics goes it is his movie, he had an important role. Secondly, he did co-star with Tom Cruise. That's what co-star means. Why do you wanna bust his balls?

The Last Samurai was a big story, bigger then just Tom Cruise' role.

Well, since I saw this movie recently, he was in Onmyoji; the movie about dueling wizards.

Hiro-chan is still lovely!!!

Postby contrarymary » Sat Jan 10, 2004 6:00 pm

I wish I was on cocaine but can`t bloody afford it!!!

I think Hiroyuki Sanada will make quite a few more fans abroad with the release of this film. It`s actually better if he`s less well known - more chance for a dirty old baasan like me!!!!!
