What I know about Albanians is from growing up in NYC. They were one of the two groups EVERYONE was afraid of. The other was Jamaicans.

Oh, right: the Albanian Mafia. I think the criminal mastermind The Greek in The Wire was supposed to be Albanian. The guys I know seem cool, but they were both national team level soccer stars, so the crushing poverty that breeds that level of depraved barbarism was probably not their concern. They sure do have tempers, though, which I get tired of, and I have never heard of a Yugoslavian that doesn't, so Vietnam it is. Anyways, a heartwarming diversion from the actual thread topic.

Now, back to France for more mayhem.

I've been reloading the main news sites all day but nary a spot of random terrorist murder, let alone a full-scale massacre anywhere in the world.

I have a peeve in my petting zoo.

The people were Yugoslav.

The car was Yugo.

The institutions of the former sovereign nation were Yugoslavian. It is not a demonym.

(We also usually refer to people as who, rather than that, but in this case I might be persuaded to overlook your objectification of a people.)

Actually, the car was just an old Fiat.

No, I'm talking street thugs. People were afraid of them because they had no fear, would be your enemies for life once you crossed them, and if you had beef with one of them you automatically had beef with all of them including their huge extended families. They definitely held onto that old world blood feud culture and honor was everything to them and they would literally die for it. Even the black and Puerto Rican kids tried to avoid them.

Luckily they liked me and my friends so we never had to worry about them but when you were around them you were walking on egg shells because you knew that any perceived slight could lead to a real problem. That was even more of an issue since probably half of them didn't speak English too well so it was easy for something to be lost in translation. Good times, good times.

Okayama cops: Man calls disabled care facility, says ‘I am the reincarnation of Hitler
Suspect also said ‘disabled people should go and die’

Tokyo Reporter | November 13, 2016
...
Kensuke Oku, 31, was arrested on suspicion of disrupting business operations for calling a disabled care facility in Nagi City, Okayama Prefecture, and saying he was “the reincarnation of Hitler, disabled people should go and die” on Thursday night, TV Asahi reports (Nov. 11).
Police traced the phone number to Oku and arrested him on Friday morning after facility staff reported the threatening call.
Oku, who has been charged with making threats, admits to the allegations, telling police he “scared [facility staff] by telling them I am the reincarnation of Hitler.”

Mitsubishi dealership?
Pshaw, you ought to try reasoning with my Yanase (Mercedes) dealership who claimed that changing the motor mounts* (by entirely pulling out the engine) was part of the standard 40,000km maintenance service. :wall:

Talk about claiming "I am the reincarnation of Hitler" and wanting to do mass murder, grrr.

*Totally off topic English dialect question: . . . . . . . . . . . .
The motor mounts are the largest bushings (N. American English)
in an automobile. However, both Japanese engrish and British
slang calls them a "bush" ---WTF! A "bush" is a shrubbery.

Bush is not slang, it is standard terminology for a kind of thick washer or bearing.

Where it is slang is for pubic hair, but even then it is slang that your great great great great great great great great grandmother knew: it is first recorded in print in that sense in 1745.

A shrubbery is a collection of bushes. Like you see in the onsen.
