Taro can enlighten us with more info but the guy still seems more genki than Suga and the fact that he's willing to admit the J-gov made a mistake says alot:

"If I could go back all the way to the beginning, I would have probably scrapped the clinical trial that we did," Kono told reporters.

....but TIJ so the need to maintain the image of the J-gov protecting the unique Japanese bodies from dangerous foreign drugs they haven't tested locally must be upheld:

"It's probably necessary for ordinary times, but in the case of emergency, or state of emergency, like COVID-19, I think we should have started the vaccination as early as possible."

Meanwhile, back to reality....

I've posted about this before but this non-tariff trade barrier unique Japan bullshit is often used to lower the dosage (cost) for drugs here, resulting in the myths of "foreign drugs being too strong" for unique Japanese bodies. Of course when you use a one-size fits all approach to dosage, 40kg Keiko is going to walk away feeling that way while 80kg Taro may think the drug barely worked.

Anyhow, the bar is lower than pigmy limbo but that crazy nationalist bitch Abe backed seems like she would drop the bar for gu o nippppon! At least there may be some positives from Squidward.
