Mulboyne wrote:The Japanese Embassy in London has reported that a Japanese woman in her 30s was assaulted on Monday night in the Silvertown area of East London. A group of youths apparently surrounded the woman and then struck her while also robbing her. She sustained a head injury. Silvertown hasn't been reported as a flash point elsewhere but it wouldn't be surprising if gangs had been on the streets in other parts of London that night, looking for opportunities.

When you are in a busy pub, you feel as if a pub fight is not too far away given the right/wrong conditions. The night buses are full of loud, drunk and mostly happy people, but there is always the sense that a mob could develop quickly.
People seem to arc up more so than in other places I have visited at the slightest of provocation. Got no evidence for any of this as it is just a personal opinion.

There's always been an undercurrent of violence in Britain which flares up from time to time.
