Hannah Kobayashi flew from Hawaii to LA earlier this month to catch a connecting flight to New York. She never made her second flight and later vanished after sending her family a number of alarming texts.
Kobayashi family said in a statement that Kobayashi “tragically took his own life” after “tirelessly searching throughout Los Angeles for 13 days.”
“The family of Hannah Kobayashi is urgently pleading with the public to maintain focus on the search for her,” the statement continued. “Hannah IS still actively missing and is believed to be in imminent danger.”
