Japanese research is so bizarre. I just can't understand the motivation for half the crazy research I read about here.

harmful substances be placed in food!!!!!!

And as for "research" , why does the question, ("who is funding this?"), never come up?

The mutation in bones is not caused by 2000 lux lighting, but rather by all the fake ingredients they put in that shitty food. Why, just yesterday I noticed a third arm beginning to grow after I ate a bento. And I tend to limp after eating a convenience store onigiri.
