Weird. Has anyone/everyone seen the Kurosawa movie "Ikiru"? Maybe one of the prefectural bureaucrats had an experience like that...

Stray Dog, yes. High and Low, no. We saw a bunch of classic Kurosawa stuff in a Japanese film class last semester, but we couldn't get it all in. We needed room to watch some Ozu, Mizoguchi and more recently Beat Takeshi and Hayao Miyazaki. I atcually have another film class next semester in Japan, and there actually isn't much overlap between the two, in terms of what films we will be watching.
