A member of the Ground Self-Defense Force (GSDF) was killed and two were slightly injured at a GSDF garrison in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture, after being hit by a car driven by an unidentified man who was trespassing there shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday...Police arrested the 28-year-old driver on suspicion of attempted murder, they said, adding the man was saying incoherent things.

Reminds me of something I saw on my suburban train station this morning.. two young guys who were completely out of it.. one could barely walk and kept running into walls and pillars as if he were a pin-ball.. they walked up and down the platform 3-4 times as they couldn't find the exit from the platform.. this was at 9am this morning.. they were not drunk but looked completely smacked out.. Something you don't see everyday.

Wild guess: it was a wacked-out anti-war protest. Japanese get irrational like that: the guy should have stole a heavy truck or at least taken gasoline bombs with him.

Durning the regime of Bush the 1st, several incoherent Japanese hassled me on the Tokaido Line by waking me up from a sound sleep and ranting about Gulf War I. Japanese coworkers later said nothing in the rants made any sense (and those coworkers were very anti-war).
