Compensation is nomally a matter kept out of the courts and as such nothing to do with police or the insurance companies.
I was recently hit from behind whilst stopped at a traffic light. The guy was of course pissed and didn't even break. He negotiated with us to have the accident listed both with the police and the insurance company as a no
injury accident. This was to, A keep his license and B keep his insurance premiums down. But of course in return he had to pay compensation.
All my medical costs. loss of work and of course a meiwakuhi
( inconvenience fee ). The car (which was a write off) was done through his insurance.
