The perception is still that the f*ked gaijin making their way over there will be happy to wipe up after their elderly. I'm quite sure that both less wealthy SE Asian countries and Japan would be happy with that with the caveat that if they pay them too little to live in Japan it will create an large immigrant underclass. OTOH how do they intend to fill other positions?

Demographics affect the whole societal structure regardless of education or background. Are they really going to hire foreigners en-masse into higher value jobs such as office work? Not if they can help it I think. So either dirty gaijin will gain access to senior positions in Japanese-run companies, or lots of f*ked gaijins will have incompetent Japanese bosses completely out of touch with company.

i actually worked with a woman who knew him back in london who used to tell me some very entertaining tales of her time as a chicken plucker (i said plucker dammit) when she was living in koizumiland

hell the govt has the wrong way of thinking.. just put ads in all the manga/anime zines "all the anime/manga/gamez you can eat! all in return for a little factory work" ^^ then you`d have them all speaking "anime japanese" to their bosses etc and make great viewing at the local conbini

back in my game industry days I met a hell of a lot of people that had winged their way into positions for Sega/Sony and Nintendo`s Japanese offices due to their excellent Japanese and spent msot of their time geeking out there.. a few of them managed to get quite high up the ladder.. last I heard of one of them, he was still sleeping on the floor at Namco`s home division and only saw his wife 3 times a week..
