I did see a ~40ish woman in makeup trying to pull off such a thing... and don't get me started about that old guy at the Yokohama Takashimaya who gets his makeup done for free on the 1st floor, then suits up in the toilet before going out in his school girl outfit.

Not content with just wearing their uniforms in school, trendy young girls continue to don their plaid skirts or sailor style suits after class and even during school holidays.

Um, maybe that's because they HAVE to. A lot of students at my old junior highs were told that they should wear uniforms at all times when 'in town', including weekends.
