More trendy uniforms for Japanese schoolgirls attract unwanted ...
6 Oct -- Channel NewsAsia's Japan Bureau Chief Michiyo Ishida. TOKYO :....All they want is to enjoy making a fashion statement with their school uniform..."There are some public schools in Tokyo where you can dress in your own clothes, yet the girls choose to go to school in a uniform. They're called 'make-believe uniforms'."
Nobuyuki says there are even grown up women, who try to look young by wearing such uniforms.

I did see a ~40ish woman in makeup trying to pull off such a thing... and don't get me started about that old guy at the Yokohama Takashimaya who gets his makeup done for free on the 1st floor, then suits up in the toilet before going out in his school girl outfit. 8O

They're not the only ones trying to pull it off... Here in Vancouver, School Disco has finally arrived after the trend trekked through Toronto from London, England. Check it out.

Not content with just wearing their uniforms in school, trendy young girls continue to don their plaid skirts or sailor style suits after class and even during school holidays.

Um, maybe that's because they HAVE to. A lot of students at my old junior highs were told that they should wear uniforms at all times when 'in town', including weekends.
There is nothing more noble than impassioned nonsense.
