As for Japan, we are starting from almost zero, for they are a world away with their own civilization, a unique way of thinking that is entrenched in their society more than the American civilization is entrenched in theirs. The Japanese teach their children a history that has remained constant for over two millennia. But at least Japan is neutral and that is something worth cultivating.
