Local gov't to give money found in trash to quake victims
Mainichi Shimbun, Oct 26The municipal government in Gyoda, Saitama Prefecture, has decided to give some 34 million yen found at a local garbage disposal center to areas hit by Saturday's earthquakes in Niigata.
Some 33.8 million yen was found at the disposal center in December last year and government coffers received the money in late June after nobody claimed the cash....
