Yomiuri: Car-carrier truck hops wall, lands in Lake Biwa

An eight-ton car-carrier truck hopped a concrete barrier and rolled down a slope into Lake Biwa in Maiharacho, Shiga Prefecture, at 3:30 a.m. Sunday. The truck fell sideways in shallow water, and 400 liters of fuel spilled into the lake. Hisashi Ono, 29, the driver of the truck belonging to a transportation company in Kumiyamacho, Kyoto Prefecture, suffered only minor injuries.
