Time for the "Dark Water" remake

This film doesn't hit till near the end of summer 2005...in many ways - this is the one American remake of an Asian Horror film that I am looking forward to. Saw the original at Sitges a couple of years back...but it...just wasn't up to par with THE EYE or RINGU in my book...However, with Walter Salles directing and a cast made up of Jennifer Connelly, John C Reilly, Dougray Scott, Shelley Duvall, Pete Postlethwaite and the man-god Tim Roth... well, that has ALOT of potential...Salles has a way of getting to the emotional truth of the material he's working with, as do these actors... on their better days. Let's hope this is one of those days. There's a helluva story here - and one that there is potential to improve upon.
