Part falls from Mitsubishi Fuso truck on expressway

YOKOHAMA --An auto part that transmits power from a vehicle's engine to the drive shaft fell off a large Mitsubishi Fuso truck driving on an expressway Wednesday, police said. The 37-year-old driver pulled over onto the shoulder of the road. No one was injured.

Meanwhile, I witnessed a procession of no less than 20 emergency vehicles (fire engines, police cars, ambulances, trucks carrying large rubber rafts, and at least one helicopter) which were all quite busy over the Tama river at Route 246 today for at least an hour. And there ain't a peep about it in the news!

Something makes me think that means they botched the rescue operation...
