Apparently the February issue of Wired has a very interesting interview with Hiroshi Yamaushi, the now retired president of Nintendo. Some quotes:

I just heard back from Chris Anderson at Wired Magazine. He says this is a parody. Not true at all. He says Wired Magazine, therefore, doesn't own a copyright on this piece.

I'll leave it up. I thought it was pretty funny too. Albeit not truthful.
