Kyodo: Actress-singer Koizumi faces charge of fleeing car accident scene
TOKYO — The police said Thursday they have sent papers to the prosecutors on actress and singer Kyoko Koizumi, 39, on suspicion of hitting a parked minibike when she was driving a car and fleeing from the scene in Meguro Ward at around 6:20 a.m. on Jan 26. She has admitted the allegations, the police said. The owner of the bike, a newspaper delivery man, noted the license number of Koizumi's car. Her publicist released a statement, saying: "I noticed I had hit something, but thought it wasn't serious. I am sorry and sincerely would like to make up for my wrongdoing."
