MDN: Woman complains to TV watchdog over harassing comedy kiss
A woman has filed a complaint with a third-party broadcasting watchdog, accusing a comedian of attempting to forcibly kiss her in a TV Osaka program late last year, the broadcaster has admitted...The incident occurred in a regular program called "Football Ase" ("Football Sweat") that TV Osaka had aired until the end of March, according to the Osaka-based commercial broadcaster. In a section in the program, Football Hour, a comedy duo, spoke to women in the street and asked if the comedians could kiss them. In December last year, the duo -- 29-year-old Nozomu Iwao and 30-year-old Terumoto Goto -- asked two women for permission to kiss them. The women rejected the request. Nevertheless, Iwao attempted to forcibly kiss one of them. The woman subsequently lodged a complaint with the Broadcasting Ethics and Program Improvement Organization (BPO) over the incident.
