Koizumi says he didn't offer prayers at Hitler's grave

Postby Buraku » Fri May 20, 2005 9:53 pm

Junichi Fukumoto of the New Komeito party, the ruling coalition partner of Koizumi's Liberal Democratic Party, criticized the premier's repeated visits, saying, "It's just like offering prayers at a grave of Hitler."

Junichiro Koizumi distanced himself from an emerging argument in his ruling party that separating Class-A war criminals from the war dead at Yasukuni Shrine would help in mending the strained bilateral ties with China.
"I have said nothing" on the issue, Koizumi was quoted as telling former Home Affairs Minister Takeshi Noda. The worsening relations with China, evident in Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi's cancellation last week of a call on Koizumi partly to protest at his Yasukuni visits, have drawn open criticism also from the LDP's ruling coalition partner, the New Komeito

The South Koreans and Russians might be tough if Japan continues its agressive nature or Yasukuni politics

No kissing in Public, get your Car the F**k out of my way, destroy the communist party.....

A Japanese rightist group plans to sail to Dokdo, a much disputed island of rocks administered by South Korea for decades but which Japan claims.

"Nihon Shidokai" - a small rightist group based in Takamatsu city - has been collecting signatures to back its plan to land on Dokdo and claim it as Japanese territory.
