Taiwanese frigate Versus Japanese military

Here we go with another Asian love fest, there has been a bit of conflict before with Taiwan and Japan. Back in the 1900s the people of Taipei were already grumpy, they got a bad deal in the Sino-Japan battle and heaps of native Taiwanese were massacred. Some years on after WW2 the conflcit with General Chiang Kai Shek and the dictator Mao, Japan and Taiwan were getting on fine again and becoming very friendly.

However Taiwan never really loved Japan and there was a bit of that WW2 bitterness left behind like the SKoreans and Chinese anger, plus matters like Yasukuni and Mori's rants hurt some Taiwanese feelings.

Just another will I purchase a Taiwan microwave oven or a Japanese model, will I listen to Taipei-Pop or is Tokyo-music better ?

Nowdays as island disputes get more serious, and the price of oil starts to rise, and people fight for control of fishing waters...the Taiwanese and Japan battle seems to be heating up
