They only pick on you because they like you. But needless to say, if this story doesn't shock Japan into dealing with bullying, despite the numerous children suicides, nothing will.
I am not really sure where I am going, I just hope that when I get there, I can sit down because I am sure my feet will be tired.

This kind if sh*t would never fly in China or NK... those kids and their families would be strung up by their toes in hours.

But you'd think the emperor would give her permission to "kick them in the junk," or something. I mean, his is a demi-god afterall...*

Again some very immature Japan bashing from some foreign kids who think they know Japan and its culture.
Yup, the princess of the yellow race is not entitled to the same respect as that of the white English sort. Fucking assholes.

I believe it is the Japanese boys who are doing the princess bashing in this case.

What are you smoking? She's getting teased by Japanese boys (girls) in any case, kids get teased, it's a part of life, you just have to be strong and deal with it.
If you react to it, of course the people that are doing the teasing will get a jolt out of it. Also, stop injecting race into this, it has nothing to with it. Now if you wanna make the argument that she's being teased because she looks too much like her father and NOT enough like her mother(Yipes) that would be a legitimate gripe. Talk about looking like Quasimodo!!!

nah, it's just jack. to summarize his stance on most topics: japan can do no wrong, canada can do no right, and the only people who can be racists are white anglos.

remember that.

I would not be surprised if they do.

There are right-wingers out there who have stabbed a journalist for failing to add the honorific "sama" suffix to Masako in an article he wrote:

http://www.ojr.org/japan/media/1095987858.php

In June 2000 Yasunori Okadome, the editor of a now defunct weekly magazine, Uwasa no Shinso, received an unexpected visit from two members of a right-wing organization. After clubbing him over the head with a glass ashtray, they stabbed him for neglecting to use an honorific when referring to Princess Masako in an article.

And, I've had the occasional idiot who angrily tries to chew me out if I don't apply the honorific to imperial figures (eg "Hirohito" instead of "Showa Tenno"). :shroom:

Little something for you Jack. You should be able to figure it out. given your immense knowledge of Japan...

Now why on earth would you think that?

Here is an early article of how quickly things started to fall apart.

This is quite interesting.

Everyone wants to PC about these sensitive issues. No one in Japan wants to talk about the Elephant in the room. All you have to do is look at the girl and you can see that something is clearly quite wrong with her. Not to mention, she looks too much like her dad...ugh!
Could this be the reason why some of the kids are teasing her and she is so easily jumpy, scared, paranoid or whatever you want to call it. But it's very strange how easily the infamous IHA allowed the media to report about this story.

Yeah, if only she'd inherited Mum's looks and Dad's...who cares about Dad. Masako may be pushing 50, but she's still highly, highly bangable

Methinks she's no more special needs than the average royal. Despite the input of fresh DNA from brood mares like Masako and Diana, that royal inbreeding tends to wreck havoc over generations. Wonder if there are any kids locked away in rooms that they aren't telling us about.

Well, he seems to have been a goofball, but I'm not sure that he was flat-out, hills-have-eyes royal freak. I've read that he was actually fairly normal, but that his politics tended toward a more pacifistic slant, and that made him unacceptable to the kuromaki. At least they didn't lobotomize him, like that Kennedy sister.
