I've been surprised a few times myself. My friend married a Gyaru who now runs a business targeting her type that's done USD10 mil in revenue in less than 5 years. When I was younger I hooked up with a Gyaru who was attending one of Japan's better universities and dropped out because her Internet business was taking off and school was getting in the way. However, I think Coligny is right about most. Not that the rest of the population in Japan or anywhere else is much better.
