Is it the weekend already? KY used to be complimentary at the registration page.... hmmm. Must already be redirecting funds towards bandwidth due to the infux.

I would go get my popcorn but somehow this is probably too easy for Coligny to get out of the litterbox for.

Which means you were here about 1 year when FG was born (if I remember dates correctly). Believe it or not, the place did not suck entirely when we were younger and smarter than we are now. There's been a constant inflow and outflow of users (except Taro, who's like the Akiko Wada of FG, but cuter). Lately the community seems to have solidified with more longer-term residents than recent arrivals, but it hasn't always been that way.

2. I'm not sure if any single one of the long time members is an English teacher. If they are they are good at it and a pro.

We've lost quite a lot of regulars since 3/11, but there have been quite a few English teachers that have been great, major contributors here in the past. But I think you may be right... not too many left.
3. Most of us are respected professionals of some kind or another.

I had some doubts about my host club career, but thank you for the endorsement!

11. (Cause it has to go to 11) In short we just really aren't a group that fucks around. Kapische?

I thought that was all we did... maybe it's just me.

Come to think about I actually fit a lot of this criteria and never realized why I like this place so much.

Been here pretty much since 2000 with a couple layovers in weird..er countries than this. Plus a bunch more.

I wouldn't get your Dangos in a knot over it. :-D It's a bit more trial by fire than warm hugs and free Ginger Ale, like over at the old place. Or is it free hugs and warm Ginger Ale?

This is probably a touch dated, but it's like a cross between the high school Audio-Visual Club and the Dungeons and Dragons brigade with some weirdly inventive in-group code but sans the abject nerdiness.

I still chuckle at the brilliance of the Lemur thing. Very clever, that.

Tenga Flip hole, Flip Air, yes, easily goes into the dishwasher.

Tenga 3D handwash only. Since you reverse it for cleaning, no point in putting it to the dishwasher...

Also, never use WD40 for lube (i was told)

Hey, new product, new fun !!!!

The other 'original' Tengas cups and Tenga eggs are expandables single use products...

How does everybody feel about discreet introductions of this site to a few good FGs from GP?

Since opinions on what makes for Good vary widely, I'll list a few examples: Ume, Esoteric, Brown Cow, Cucashopboy, that sort of middle range mellow groover.

I thought it would be proper to ask first........................

Most of us are respected professionals of some kind or another.

I'm more of a discipline dodging jack of all trades master of none who just wants to pursue his own interests and projects all the time.

They are not mutually exclusive - That's true. All depends on what one means by "a respected professional" I suppose.

Thanks Kuronage. I'm new on GP too, just joined 4 months ago.

I still get internet-culture shock with the way people from the western world joke with each other but I'm slowly but surely learning the ropes and hopefully develop a thick skin in the process. All I need to master now is to read who is joking and who are just a$$holes.

Welcome Dango. This site is probably the worst when it comes to culture shock, but believe me most people here have hearts of gold.

And if you can survive here, you can survive anywhere in the western world.

I understand you are non-western, probably Japanese.

Looking forward to hear your opinions in our discussions. We have too few non-westerners here.

That looks too good for a tranquilizer.

Q: I've checked out several forums to join and noticed one common thing in them. Forums are full of men. Either young cocky guys or old, grumpy men. Where are the women..?

For those of us who were never G-potters - can the new recruits introduce themselves please? Either in the intro thread or in here. :biggrin2:

Hey Dango - last time I checked, I was a chick.... There are a few of us in here. We do have our own forum here where we talk about the rest of you - especially if you make knobs of yourself.

Hello gomigirl,interesting name :-)

I think some of the former G-potters registered here but are not posting on this Gpot thread. Probably not to rock the boat or afraid to be shot down, lol.

I'll check the archives here soon as I'm allowed to post outside this thread. Is it titled Powder Room, lol :D
