I haven't been in for at least 10 years and probably much, much longer. I remember watching the 1996 Grand Final there (coincidentally, Sydney also played in that one...). I do remember a cricket club quiz night that must have been some time from 2000 to 2002, and haven't been there since.
I miss meat pies. I can make 'em, but they're not the same. Quest used to have them. Yet, the ones we do get in Japan are from Adelaide, which probably tickles GG's hubby, but leaves a bit to be desired for me.

Cornish pasties I haven't seen...with one exception. When the Hobgoblin opened in Shibuya ca. 2001, I went with a friend as we knew the operator. We were sucked into buying one for about 800 yen and it tasted like a fucken rock. I never saw it on the menu again and haven't really looked much since (though I should, because I loved them!)

I've been microwaving my food for decades...I'm not gonna suddenly start worrying now that the slop is really being nuked.

For the steam... dun't know, never used in 10 years... It's one of those disfunctionnal things where even me Julie can't pretend with a straight face that it's not really a problem...

Running Tomato and open-WRT... And I don't crank anyting, because it's a one way trick... That totally misfire when you live in a thick walled bunker... I'd rather lower the power and increase the number of basestations, always gave me much better speed...

Me too..looks like "Heal Slo" but all the lemurs immediately recognize it as a "Health-E-O" (ヘルシオ) and assume I'm rich In fact, I probably score a 10,000 out of 100 on what the lemurs here see as signs of wealth when it comes to appliances. Drum-shiki washer/dryer combo, way too over sized for the room flat screen and digital fridge....but the real kickers are my "how the fuck did you get this big ass thing in here" sofa and my queen sized bed. Most are retarded enough to not even realize most of this shit is reasonably priced used or that the bed is an air mattress.
