It'll be interesting to see if these people will really be treated the same as Japanese employees in the long run. Will they get the same benefits as a Japanese seishain (permanent employee) and move up the corporate ladder at the same rate?
One would hope not. They're not going to get the same benefits from society, so in turn, they should be getting better pay and longer vacations (presumably for the long travels home to visit their family).
Japan is fucking miles away from equality. I know it's un-PC, but fuck it, if gaijin are going to be so alienated socially, they might as well get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to employment.
