My argument has nothing to do with western or unwestern logic but with a few simple facts: (a) Japan's influence is diminishing (b) cultural isolation hurts economic performance (c) demographic trends require that Japan increase productivity and efficiency.
all the best

Me] It's my job to protect Japan from integrationist like yourself. Cultural isolation helps preserve the country, and allows for Japanese to become more innovative on its own without having to sell its soul for foreign labor. Fuck you RD

But you are not even close to understanding what Dujarric is writing about. He is not advocating for any kind of cultural change. And he's certainly not stating that any kind of cultural change would make Japan a better place.
His argument is economic. He believes that the economy and changing demographics are going to lower living standards in Japan, generally making life worse for everybody. He thinks that increasing "cultural awareness" is a way to improve the economy.
It's getting pretty hard to deny the economy is in the shitter and living standards are headed downward for Japanese. Obviously Japanese people don't want that. Whether "taking the wall down" will improve the economy is a question where one might legitimately disagree with Dujarric.
But telling him "fuck you" because you think he is an "integrationist" and thinks foreign culture is superior just makes you look silly. That is not what he said.

Re the topic -Japan IS getting old and rundown, a fucking shame because it's the country that gives me decent gigs and a decent life. No doubt it's in terminal decline because its missed the boat for getting in foreigners who would have contributed financially and socially. All the fucking emptying schools and the decaying smaller cities are getting a creepy look.
All these old fuckers wandering into the local hospital and fucking wasting our taxmoney, all these ol silver mofos who are more and more dependent on a tax base that's getting smaller by almost the fucking minute, all their entrenched ways that are gonna stop any real political dynamism from emerging.
This is where McAlpine is well off the track, it's a slow suicide of the economy, dynamism and will. In my country Australia (where people are now waking up to the fact that big business doesnt give a fuck that people from dysfunctional cultures living in the past immersed in their tribal mindsets have come in numbers that are too big - they just want generations of consumers buying their products) we weren't picky enough
