Wow, Yomiuri/Mainichi are off by a factor of 1 million compared to Sankei. And if I am understanding the numbers correctly, neither of them seem to match the official NISA releases (English or Japanese versions).

What's going on here? :confused:

I think it's a given that stupid reporters at at least one newspaper can't tell the difference between a cubic meter and a milliliter. But if the government is releasing wrong readings to begin with, we can't even hope for the news organizations to get it right.

I have no idea how the readings are obtained but, I wonder if it's possible to get conflicting readings from different samples of water from the same pool.
I mean those nasty particles are pretty damn small, aren't they?
