When Naoki Inose, Masuzoe’s immediate predecessor, quit in December 2013 over a scandal involving ¥50 million received as loans from the Tokushukai hospital chain, Tokyo was forced to squeeze out ¥4.9 billion in emergency funds for an election. Yes, well read. I assumed that was an aggressive Wikipedia editor, one I assume that is a fan of Clark. Judging by the Talk section of that article most contributors are supporters.
On second reading though, it almost works: "allegations of free renovations.......that were actually paid for, and therefore proved to be false allegations".
