Goldman Sachs and morality?
Please, surely you jest.

and what moral judgement are you about? She decided to fuck on camera to make money. If you have a problem with that I guess you never look at pron and the idea shocks you. My fundamental position is we all prostitute ourselves one way or another, so I have no problem with someone who does it of their own volition.
I think GS's problem is they didn't like confronting their own willful ignorance, fine to go watch a pole dancer in Roppongi then go for a BJ in Shinjuku, not so comfortable to think those women have brains.

I't not about the morality of the business it's the perceived morality of the people that work for them. Wouldn't want a rich otaku spotting her and having a potential deal go south because he decided she needed to be part of the deal.

My guess is that being a porn star she probably has all sort of nasty STD's and GS prefers fresh blood giving their clients blow jobs.

Now that is a nice insight. I could see it. Plus they can't work well with somebody they think is supposed to fuck on command. Still, I have great sympathy for the idea that anybody willing to work with pron industry types shows a serious lack of judgement or ability to measure the consequences of their decisions. The idea that she entered porn as a form of sexual empowerment is ludicrous, even if she actually believes that BS. But you're probably righterer than we are. Nice defence of prozzies, there, btw. I find the logic of your argument reductive, but the spirit of it soars.

Matsuki's next question is: how did they find out? Did one of the interviewers have some viewing hobbies? The Jerk has the other possibility. In which case, HR had to find some budget to make a purchase to verify the claims --- at least I hope so, rather than just confront the woman with unverified rumours from an anonymous source.

Here's where the Daily Mail got it from http://www.tokyoreporter.com/2016/06/05 ... -in-tokyo/
A representative from Goldman Sachs Japan said that the company “was reluctant” to offer a comment to the magazine on the matter. However, a person with knowledge of the case said that in December the company received a call from a person who said that “a naitei employee is the former AV actress Shizuka Minamoto.”
“As a result, a close examination of personal histories of such employees was performed,” says the source. “The results revealed a violation of rules of employment regarding one’s private life. That led to the cancellation of the job offer. So it does not seem that the termination was directly connected to the AV appearances.”

kurogane wrote:I smell BS. A history of fucking on camera was less important than an aspect of her private life? Which, as our Defender of the Faith pointed out, is private. Is it plausible, forgetting for the moment that it's GoldSinger, that they are concerned that admitting they fired her for having publicly whored could be construed badly? I still can't imagine that could be a legal or social issue of any sort. Whether it should be so or not, an employee's history and record of getting spitroasted for money cannot reflect well on any organisation, at least according to the general populace.

I would be proud to work for a company that employed ex porn stars. It would be a measure of everyone's maturity how they reacted.

Given the number of porn actresses in this country how do you know that you don't?
The Goldman banker in charge of the LIA contract – Youssef Kabbaj – also treated the brother to extensive training, holidays in Morocco and, on one occasion, business class flights and five-star accommodation in Dubai, where he also arranged for two prostitutes for the evening at a cost of $600.
Meanwhile, the LIA offered evidence Goldman bankers were clearly aware of how naïve the Libyans were, describing in emails how the country’s banking system was “Jurassic”. Goldman banker Driss Ben-Brahim wrote: “They are very unsophisticated – and anyone could 'rape' them.”
