I usually sit at home, a habit I picket up from living on a boat for a year.

Off the side of the boat is more fun though. All hands to the poop deck.

Agreed. Teaching your son to sit down to take a piss robs him of one of the greatest joys of being a man, emasculating him to point where all he has to look forward to is a life of rough buggery. Stage #2 must then be dressing him in a frilly afternoon frock and parading him down the shoutengai.

Standing to take a leak is handy and all but if it's one of the greatest joys of your life I think you may need to get out more. ;)

*sighs* Greatest joys of being a man. As in, what seperates us from women, including and not limited to discovering porn, hunting, and a good old fashioned dust up between mates. But hey FGL, if you want to be narky and take shit out of context, be my guest.

Me neither, though I do point out absurd comments if I happen to come across them. You seem to take yourself faaaaaaar too seriously. (You may also wish to look up "out of context". The meaning of the sentence I quoted originally doesn't change if you put it back into the rest of your post.) Anyway, lighten up. Failing that I suggest you learn to use the handy "Ignore" option. Click on my username and on the profile page that comes up choose "Add FG Lurker to Your Ignore List".

Though you weren't man enough to post your thoughts publicly you were at least man enough to sign your purdy red dot. If you are looking for a board with consistently serious discussion then may I kindly suggest that you are logging into the wrong place. As with Midwinter, if you don't like my comments or style you are more than welcome to use the Ignore feature. I believe that is what it is for.

FGL, it's called courtesy. I prefer to praise people in public and criticize in private when possible, but since you brought it up; chill out with the personal attacks and criticisms.

It's one thing to point out the absurdity of an argument. You don't do that. You almost always rail against the person instead of the argument. Are you able to understand the difference?

It's called a discussion forum for a reason. Reply to their words and not the personality behind the words unless someone has specifically insulted you.

NOW, that being said, gentle ribbing or teasing jest on occasion is not a bad thing, but your occasional is very often and you're about as gentle as a scorpion and twice as venomous.

This is not just for FGL. There are others. I singled you out FGL because you're more a more prolific poster than others.

/end of rant.

Cute. I'm posting in a topic about pissing, poking fun at the subject, and I'm the one who takes it far too seriously? Give up AO, I doubt FGL even remembers how to smile.

Okay, so it's not cool for me to poke a bit of fun, but it's fine for you to get your panties all in a knot about me poking a bit of fun? Riiiiiiiight. Did I miss the announcement of you taking over FG? Seriously, if my posts upset you so much just put me on ignore, I'm certainly not going to lose any sleep over it.

American Oyaji wrote:NOW, that being said, gentle ribbing or teasing jest on occasion is not a bad thing, but your occasional is very often and you're about as gentle as a scorpion and twice as venomous.

I've never claimed to be subtle or tactful, but a lot of what I say is in jest. It's easy to tell, just look for an emoticon. I didn't think this sort of thing needed explaining... Again though, I invite you to put me on ignore. If you can't handle my posts then just don't read 'em. Life is far too short to keep getting your panties in a knot about some random poster on a site called Fucked Gaijin.

FG Lurker wrote:FGL being silly

FGL, not sure how old you are, but please observe the posting styles of some of the old timers on the board and if you are half as intelligent as you think you are, you'll understand. It's not poking fun when that's all you do. It's called acting like an ass. Generally you have a pretty good opinion on stuff, but you seemed to get sidetracked by poking at the PEOPLE you disagree with. Try poking holes in their arguments. You'll get a better reaction and you might have more fun.

As for adding the smiley after your posts, it's pointless because of the frequency of your jabs. It's like punching a good friend in the head again after you just apologized for doing it 5 times before. Eventually the apology (or the smiley) is pointless.

One more thing. This IS a public forum, and as people will do in real life, if one person appears to be a disruption, you'll have a member of that community call you out on your behavior. Putting you on ignore would not work because your disruption ripples out to other posts and threads causing the quality of reading to drop. You post too much to put you on ignore.

Old enough to recognize someone who would have made a fine hall monitor.

AO, if you don't like my posts that's fine, I honestly don't care. If you think all I contribute to the board is jabs, that's fine too. Some people just see what they want to see and there is generally very little reasoning with such people.

So there are two more people who didn't have the balls to say it publicly, and one of them can't spell? Yeah, that means a lot.

Ah, I see, you've combined the KJ shit with this thread. You think it will somehow make a difference to me?

AO, if the worst thing I do in a day is post something that disagrees with you then I'm not doing too badly. I suggest you look at your real life and see how it lives up to the values you have previously stated that you hold. If your real life is holding up to your own values (and from what I can tell from your posts, it isn't) then maybe you can start criticizing others. Until then I think you'd gain more from either adjusting your values or fixing your life. JMO though.

Once more you fail to see the forest for the trees. It's not just AO who has taken issue with you recently FGL. I usually don't have a problem with your postings at all, but enough is enough. Putting a smily after a jab doesn't make it any less of a jab.

With all due respect FGL, you're recent postings havent been too far removed from our Chinese friend, Takechanpooped, and that's fucking sad. I'm done with this thread.

I just gave FGL a green snot. Anyone who gets AO worked up must be doing something right.

BTW, which one of you pussies whose mother made you sit down and pee gave me a red dot special for my comment earlier in the thread?

Oh yeah, to say something good about AO, I do respect the fact that he always signs his name when he spreads rep. I know because I've gotten both reds and greens from him.
