It's one thing to point out the absurdity of an argument. You don't do that. You almost always rail against the person instead of the argument. Are you able to understand the difference?

It's called a discussion forum for a reason. Reply to their words and not the personality behind the words unless someone has specifically insulted you.

FGL, not sure how old you are, but please observe the posting styles of some of the old timers on the board and if you are half as intelligent as you think you are, you'll understand. It's not poking fun when that's all you do. It's called acting like an ass. Generally you have a pretty good opinion on stuff, but you seemed to get sidetracked by poking at the PEOPLE you disagree with. Try poking holes in their arguments. You'll get a better reaction and you might have more fun.

As for adding the smiley after your posts, it's pointless because of the frequency of your jabs. It's like punching a good friend in the head again after you just apologized for doing it 5 times before. Eventually the apology (or the smiley) is pointless.

One more thing. This IS a public forum, and as people will do in real life, if one person appears to be a disruption, you'll have a member of that community call you out on your behavior. Putting you on ignore would not work because your disruption ripples out to other posts and threads causing the quality of reading to drop. You post too much to put you on ignore.

AO, if the worst thing I do in a day is post something that disagrees with you then I'm not doing too badly. I suggest you look at your real life and see how it lives up to the values you have previously stated that you hold. If your real life is holding up to your own values (and from what I can tell from your posts, it isn't) then maybe you can start criticizing others. Until then I think you'd gain more from either adjusting your values or fixing your life. JMO though.
