I also don't like the implication that she brought this on herself. Besides it seems like her biggest crime in Matsuki's eyes is that she's not attractive by his standards.

Even if they just want a one night stand I tell them to fuck off (actually, I just ignore them). I ran into an ex-gf (who is pushing 40) from 2013 a month ago and, despite having a "boyfriend" (some guy who was passed out in the club) she is sending me messages all the time, and I have absolutely zero desire to see her. I've found this really ironic - I'm in my early 30s and if I meet someone who is like 36 or 37 they say I'm too young, but when they're 39 or 40 they never, ever say that. It's like all of my Japanese ex-gfs - once they calm down from their hissy fits, they always try to get back together with me (I always say no out of principle).

On one level, I really think she was like a lot of women in Japan - someone who went to work and after work came home to either her parents or some small apartment with, at most, a small pet. At some point she realized she was up there in terms of years and got super desperate. She met this guy and got involved with him, presumably with the guy telling her he was going to leave his wife because he didn't love her anymore or simply denying being married and her ignoring obvious signs (wedding ring, calls from the wife, photos of wife and kids on phone).

I've known women who have fallen for the "he doesn't love his wife" and "he says its not his wife and he's not married" excuses (note: I'm a dude and those are absolutely terrible excuses and anyone with a clue can see through them). When the woman realizes that she fell for these obvious lies, she gets really pissed off (and I feel that's what happened here).

Sleeping drug found in body of woman dumped in Kanagawa bay

Kanagawa police revealed on Monday that a sleeping drug has been detected inside the body of Mariko Akitaya, whose corpse was found dumped in a bay in Miura City, reports the Kanagawa Shimbun (Aug. 11).

Investigators from the Misaki Police Station are now attempting to understand whether the drug played a role in the death of Akitaya, a 42-year-old resident of Tokyo’s Meguro Ward.

On the morning of July 29, the body of Akitaya, a contract employee in the cosmetics industry, was found wrapped in a brown plastic sheet and floating about 20 meters off the coast in Koajiro Bay. A towing rope had been used to attach the body to a concrete block.

On Thursday, police accused Gregory Gumo, a 41-year-old American marketer and promoter in the entertainment industry, of abandoning the body of Akitaya. Investigators are now working to apply murder charges.

The body exhibited no signs of external injuries. With an autopsy revealing a large quantity of water being present in the lungs, the cause of death was determined to be drowning. The estimated time of death was July 28.

On the day Akitaya’s body was found, Gumo, a resident of Yokohama’s Hodogaya Ward, attempted to travel to the United States on an international flight from Haneda Airport.

During questioning by police prior to his arrest, the suspect admitted that he and the victim had been together prior to the incident but denied involvement in the crime.

Wife's family has money, plus she works. Apparently her family is getting quite pissed off with the job situation and pushing them to move next door (in Kawachi Nagano, aka shithole south Osaka) and get my friend a job at one of the convenience stores (which the parents own). I told my friend I would go out there with some other people just to visit the store while he's working.
