I always find it amazing how airlines are judged on food.... isn't that like judging a football player's kicking skills by his hairstyle?

If I want a great meal, I will go to a restaurant. If I want to move from Point A to Point B without crashing into the ocean in a fireball, then I will pick a safe airline.

I could care less about the food or the skirt length of the flight attendants.

I want safe, reliable travel at a reasonable cost. I will go to a fabulous restaurant when I get to my destination.

I'm not judging them by food alone but the food quality certainly makes the experience better and may be the difference with all other factors being reasonably equal. (especially when you fly as often as I do)

That being said, I still hate ANA with a passion. I won quite a bit of $$ from them in court regarding that luggage debacle earlier this year (not everything I was asking for but better than getting the shaft) and apparently wasting 2 days in court with 4 of their managers each time and pissing me off further was not enough, they have appealed the ruling. As if that cost/benefit analysis wasn't fucked enough, they may now be held accountable for my travel/time off work expenses for this appeal. TIJ doesn't work well in U.S. courts.

Air China attendants don't even do the safety demonstration, there is just a video shown on the small screens (1 every 3 rows) in Chinese then in english, often interupted.
They treat you like shit. the food would make a rat throwup and the plane looks like 2 hands leftovers from Air America (airbus A310).

If you consider that because YOUR only goal is to go from point A to B, then good for you, but don't lower the standards even more for everyone else. Minimum legroom, edible food *properly unfrozen*, attendants that don't look and act like 2$ whore that have been rode hard and put back wet. I don't think it's asking for too much.

Ideally, I'd like to be either a superhero (best choice) or Rastafarian (not bad choice) and fly myself wherever I want to go, but as the closest I get to either of those is wearing my undies on the outside of my pants, I'll take whatever airline is the cheapest because air travel fucking sucks, whether you're on First, Business or Economy Class (joining the Mile-High Club or a bombing run in a B-2 stealth bomber may sway my opinion in a different direction...)

Not necessarily a bad idea, the freezing and reheating process aren't exactly kind to all the preservatives in that crap anyways. The KFC on the flight is pretty cool, I imagine if a fast food menu was offered on flights, they'd make a killing.
