As Europe opens its doors, Japan considers clamping down harder on asylum seekers

As the worst refugee crisis since World War Two forces Europe to break down hurdles and accept hundreds of thousands of migrants, Japan, which took in just 11 asylum seekers last year, is looking to clamp down even further.

Measures including deporting failed applicants, curbs on repeat applications and pre-screening of new asylum seekers are being considered as part of changes to the country's immigration system, an official said on Wednesday.

If implemented, the changes would make Japan an even harder-to-reach destination, activists say. The country is already one of the developed world's least welcoming countries for refugees, accepting 11 of a record 5,000 asylum seekers in 2014.

[...]

The UNHCR said on Tuesday it expects at least 850,000 people to head to Europe this year, many of them refugees from Syria's four-year civil war. The scale of the crisis has promoted the European Union to move towards quotas for acceptance of asylum seekers.

But Japan's government does not see escaping war as a legitimate reason for claiming asylum, and has no plans to widen its criteria to include flight from conflict, said Sato.

The strict interpretation of refugee law and the country's geographical and cultural distance from the Middle East deter Syrians from seeking asylum in Japan, refugee policy experts say. Only 63 have applied for asylum in Japan since 2011, according to government data.

As absurd as it is, trying to lower a 0.0022% acceptance rate....I have to agree that suicides that go splat seem to be favorable to suicides that go boom. Then again...

I'm wih McTojo on this one, as is Denmark. This is the Saracen Horde, not desirables. I feel for them, but even the Good Syrians are cuntish turds, never mind the usual ones that whine like welfare cheats and rush the police. The kneejerk liberal sympathy is completely hysterical. Principles aren't worth crap when the logistics are this horrifying. They need to be scared enough to want to stay there or go back home. Welcoming them is like pulling the Trojan Horse in through the gates. Did I use the word Saracen yet? These people only know the word shame to use it was an insult to people who haven't agreed with them. They kick shins at friendly pickup soccer, FFS. That Hungarian camaerawoman probably shouldn't have done that, but why weren'T THE POLICE SHOOTING?

Drowned Syrian migrant boy’s father says he blames Canada for tragedy

The Canadian Press
Abdullah Kurdi told Die Welt that he does not understand why Canada rejected his application for asylum, although Citizenship and Immigration Canada received no such application from the man.
“I wanted to move (to Canada) with my family and with my brother who is currently in Germany,” Kurdi told Die Welt in a telephone interview. “But they denied us permission and I don’t know why.

This is the face of The Refugee: a whiney entitlement addled economic migrant expecting handouts. Almost suspicious that he was able to safely return to Syria to bury his family, given his refugee status. Hopefully this will help us all gird our loins and reject these charlatanical mountebanks. Let the hounding begin. No Snakes, No Dogs, No Saracens, No thank you.

Orban - Hungary will arrest 'rebellious' migrants
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban warned on Friday that his police would take tougher action from next week against a wave of migrants who he said had rebelled against authorities, seized railway stations and refused to be registered.

While it's a crying shame that it took a pig of a neo-Nazi to inject some sanity into this shitstorm, at least somebody is letting the rampaging horde know what they're in for if they don't behave like uninvited guests rather than a conquering army.

Release The Hounding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope they go after his sister in Vancouver for this. They really do sound like typical Saracens; anybody remember the airlift we had to stage a few years back when they all got caught out for being too stupid to live without government help?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadians_of_convenience

What infuriates me is how much the actions of this ilk embolden the forces of the neo-conservative Dark Siders, and complicate things for actual refugees, not to mention legitimate RACMs from wherever they came.

Europe proves me wrong

Postby kurogane » Sun Sep 13, 2015 11:05 am

http://www.wsj.com/articles/tens-of-tho ... 1442085870

Apparently crowds of Eurostanians have taken to the streets in solidarity with the invading Saracen horde, chanting slogans and waving banners welcoming them to the newly formed but as yet unacknowledged Islamic Republic of Europisstank. Young Germans dedicated to embracing people that would rather spit on them and see them dead took to public plazas chanting the war cry of the New Germany:

Wir wollen das Trojanisches Pferd!!!!!!!!
Wir wollen das Trojanisches Pferd!!!!!! Die Auslander Uber Alles!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, wrong again I was. Other than the obvious loss of most of Western Europe as a pleasant travel destination for at least a generation, it's all rather heartwarming, and there will always be little town plazas in Hungary and Denmark that should remain riffraff free. So, well done Europe, and advance condolences.

Looks like it's a done deal.

Japan announced on Tuesday changes to its refugee system that activists said will make the country, which accepted less than a dozen asylum seekers last year, increasingly hard to reach for people in need of protection.

Measures including fast-track assessment of applications seen as inadmissible under international refugee law, removal of residence permission for some repeat applicants, and stricter controls on asylum seekers' work permits were set out by the Ministry of Justice, as part of wider proposals for Japan's immigration system.

The ministry will also offer humanitarian protection - but not full refugee status - to people escaping conflict, and establish a system to provide refuge to people at risk from "new forms of persecution," such as gender-based violence.

continued ............."We have more worries than expectations about the changes," said Hiroaki Ishii, executive director of the Japan Association for Refugees. "People may now hesitate to apply because the rules are getting stricter."

I love how he uses the bleedingly obvious objective of the legislation to try and make it sound like a bad thing. Probably a very nice man, but the pity industry really does need better spokespeople if they want to mak their case. Anyways, not being much of a refugee tout or charity industry shill, sad as it is for legitimate applicants in genuine need at least there will be a few places one can still go for a nice First Worldish holiday.

It seems the Hungarians are also ramping it up: they've starting shooting back at the rampaging horde at their doorstep. Hard to be happy about any of it, but just WTF do these people think they are to use phrases like "we demand entry"???? :cry2: Aren't beggars still supposed to plead? I worry that Merkel and The Munificents may have jumped the gun, and the shark.

On a more lighthearted note, not even the other filth like the Syrian variety:
British ISIS Member Annoyed by ‘Rude Arabs’
http://heavy.com/news/2015/09/british-i ... ash-syria/

Code: Select all
Unfortunately Syrians seem to be very childish in their dealings and mannerisms in how they interact with each other. It’s not an unusual sight to see a fully grown Syrian man acting like a child and playing around with other brothers.

In the west, it is common knowledge to walk out of a room wearing the same pair of shoes that you wore while entering the room. Nay, it is common sense. However here in Shām, our Syrian brothers have a very peculiar philosophy whereby they believe that everyone can share each other’s footwear, irrespective of foot size. Someone who is a size 40 will casually walk out the room wearing your footwear even though you are a size 44, and strangely he may not even realise. Weird? Of course it is.

I have never had any of the Syrians I know walk off with my soccer shoes but the rest of it sounds about right: "what's mine is mine and what's yours will also be so give it to me now, and don't forget to thank me." Not exactly poster boys for tolerable interlopers. I predict this crisis will be the end of the A Refugee is a Refugee is a Refugee principle for most civilised countries.

Yes, beggars can be choosers.

'Finland's no good': Disappointed migrants turn back

Hundreds of predominantly Iraqi migrants who have travelled through Europe to reach Finland are turning back, saying they don't want to stay in the sparsely-populated country on Europe's northern frontier because it's too cold and boring.

Migrants have in recent weeks been crossing back into Sweden at the Haparanda-Tornio border just an hour's drive south of the Arctic Circle, and Finnish authorities have seen a rise in the number of cancelled asylum applications.

"You can tell the world I hate Finland. It's too cold, there's no tea, no restaurants, no bars, nobody on the streets, only cars," 22-year-old Muhammed told AFP ...
