Anisur, who came to Japan from Bangladesh to study 12 years ago, was deported Friday for overstaying his visa. His dream had been to open a curry and rice restaurant in Tokyo...Anisur was one of eight Bangladeshis who turned themselves in to Japanese authorities last September for overstaying their visas and had requested special permission to stay in Japan. They made the request on the grounds that all of them had lived in Japan for many years -- some for as long as 18 years -- and that they would have difficulty rebuilding their lives if they were returned to Bangladesh.
