From my perspective as a woman, I see this as a never ending story.
It would be nice to deter this type of behavior, but as long as there is a demand and people are willing to supply it, how can it really stop?
In the US, they try. Many of you know they do periodic sweeps here. They do go after the John's, as they call men who buy sex and the hookers.
Heck, there may come a day where the rest of the US may need to follow what Nevada does, legalize brothels. Hell, I hate that idea, but at least they are taxed, the girls are tested for illness and they make sure they are of age.
But, human trafficing, how do you stop that? ecspecially when you hear the individuals own families sell them into the trade? In my world, that is the sickest thing you can do to family. In their world, they may not like it, but it may be for survival....I dont know.
It is disgusting. Even if a law went into affect to deter this behavior, it only drives them underground futher. However, inaction is no excuse.
Like with drugs and gambling. No matter what laws are in place, it will continue, sad as it is.
People will just move from one location to the next to continue illegal and sick behavior. Where does one start to slowly eliminate such behavior? Education? We try to educate kids here in the US...but has it helped? At what age do we start this education?
I suppose there has to be a balance of evil and good in society. I really hate that idea, but has there really been a great improvement. Maybe I am jaded a bit here.
If I had a choice, I would love to round up those who buy sex, those who are pedophiles, those who sale people and throw them all on a deserted island so they can go F* themselves.
