I'm curious - the bigglobe page actually exists, but who the heck is Neil Marks and what is the cite for this 'article'? Where and when was it originally posted?

And - worst case - if this isn't a real article, apparent slander against JA could put ultra in an awkward position, so you should stop.

I take this to really mean 'Japan related stories you come across' actually means stories that have already been expunged by some other source, nothing original is acceptable. Is this correct?

If this is the case, fine, you have my public permission to delete anything I have posted that you or anyone else might find offensive.

First off, I'll defer to ultra's better judgment regarding accetable site content.

As for your comments...
If by 'expunged' you mean 'published' (perhaps you meant 'exposed'?), then, yes, news here is essentially links to stories in established media. In sharp contrast would be regular posts that offer personal opinions, critiques, insults, etc. In order to distinguish the two, I'd suggest you label similar posts 'original story by' or the like.

If ultra doesn't mind your 'original news', then best o' luck to you, but you should be prepared to explain who you are. Established media is just that - it has an established reputation and credentials. However, I imagine the vast majority of readers at FG have no idea who Neil Marks is and what journalistic background he has. And just as regular media must defend the veracity of its stories, you should be prepared to have your story questioned - that's not antagonism, it's journalistic integrity.

Basically, it was not a bad story about JA ripping off it is own farmers via embezzlement and fraud in one of them far away eastern parts of Japan. I am sure that hey would do such a thing out at your rice ranch Toon Town. :D :D :D
