Kyodo via Japan Today: Ex-PM Murayama, 81, hits boy with car
OITA — Former Prime Minister Tomiichi Murayama hit a 9-year-old boy on a bicycle with his car in the city of Oita on Saturday afternoon, inflicting minor injuries to the boy's hand and leg, police said. Murayama, 81, driving alone, was uninjured in the accident that took place while he was making a left turn at an uncontrolled intersection at around 5:40 p.m., the police said.
