The Japan Times wrote: ... The sunken ship is believed to be the Wei Hang 9, a 3,947-ton freighter registered in Malta, which was carrying 21 crew members, all Chinese, the Coast Guard said. The other ship is the Kaishin Maru, a Japanese-registered 499-ton freighter owned by shipping firm Kayama Kaiun K.K. based in Osaka Prefecture.
