"The Lovers' Guide" by Andrew Stanway
The Japanese police are not pleased with this book according to ZAKZAK (Japanese). The first edition was a major challenge to indecency laws but it appears the police can't turn a blind eye and have hit the publisher with numerous requests for changes in the second edition. The photos accompanying the sections on oral sex, female masturbation, vibrator usage etc will need the blurry treatment. 50 of the book's 116 photographs have been given particular attention by the police. Andrew Stanway is a British doctor and his book has been published in 14 countries so far. Since going on sale in Japan, it has become a best seller. Shuhei Abe, president of the local publishing company, was told by police to cut out the fellatio and stop showing genitals. The report suggests that the publisher may yet let the book go out of print rather than radically change the content.
You can read see the original UK version on Amazon here. It wasn't changed much for US publication and one reviewer writes as follows on the US site
The Lover's Guide is a British adaptation of a video of the same title. The book emphasizes developing techniques to satisty one's partner, both physically and emotionally. This is accomplished primarily through photographs of young Anglo couples depicting massage, foreplay, oral sex, and numerous intercourse positions. Though the photos are not pornographic, per se, they are full-color, quite explicit, and dreamy and erotic in nature. Unlike the photographs in Miriam Stoppard's recent The Magic of Sex, which are so airbrushed that they could be defended as purely instructional in a censorship crisis, these photographs may prove controversial.
