MSN: Japanese diplomat attacked on Moscow streets
A diplomat in charge of public relations at the Japanese Embassy in Moscow was attacked and injured by three men, sparking investigations by Russian authorities. Moscow prosecutors reportedly suspect that the Japanese diplomat was attacked on racial grounds on Sept. 10. The three men who looked to be Russian approached the victim on a street in Moscow and asked whether he was Chinese. After the diplomat said he was Japanese, the three hit him in the face, according to Moscow authorities. Japanese embassy officials said that the three also hit the diplomat's wife accompanying the victim.
