Slightly scary Tokyo Tower mascot, "Noppon".
The Nikkei reported a couple of days ago (Japanese) that Tokyo Tower is due to for a makeover. Currently 333m tall, the new plan envisages a 360m tall tower. The management company is putting forward a plan for re-construction in 2011 floowing the end to analogue broadcasting. The new digital antenna will add the extra height. Total cost is envisioned to be around 4 billion yen.
